Martha Willette Lewis: The Elaboratory

Martha Willette Lewis is a visual artist, curator, and radio presenter who has exhibited nationally and internationally. Her artistic practice focuses on drawing, Site-Specific Installation, books, knowledge, and the history of science. She has produced experimental work across media and genres in her studio (The Elaboratory ) since 2007 and enjoys throwing her doors open to the public once a year for the annual open-studios festival.
For this year's event she will be showing recent works including on-going collaborative projects addressing Gun Violence, the Climate Crisis and the aftermath of the pandemic. Less grim than this all sounds, The Elaboratory will feature a colorful and lively mix of experiments with assemblage, light-works and projection, Fluid dynamics, hand-done printmaking, poetry, photo collage, drawing and more.

    Accessibility: There is a handicap ramp on the side of Building 2 and building 3 from the main parking area. Building 3 ramp will give access to buildings 3, 6E, 7 and 5 (first floors only). Building 2 ramp accesses Building 2 (first floor only). Building 4 is ground level. Building 8 has a ramp to the first floor of Bregamos.
