Rumpled yellow trousers. A WWII-era blazer. A strand of pearls on a tabletop, watched over by a surrealistic eye. These are a few of my still life subjects, part of a series called "Everything I Need Is In This House." Yes, I share a studio at Erector Square, but most of my paintings are done at home or at the Ely Center (ECOCA) alongside other members of New Haven's Brush & Palette Club.
For CWOS 2023, I'm proud to be exhibiting with my studio-mate, Seth Callander, who creates meticulous acts of geometry made of wood. Says Seth: "My sculpture comes from the desire to make structure of emotion."
We look forward to welcoming you to Studio 7-F, where maximalism and minimalism coexist in relative harmony.
